Miscellaneous Trade Beads

#22-514    Cinnabar Beads
Strands of carved or molded red lacquer beads from China. Different batches have varied in length.

These are, of course, not old "true" Cinnabar. True Cinnabar is a red mercuric sulfide, very toxic, and no longer used for jewelry (or anything else we can think of). If you have any antique (heavy) Cinnabar, treat it with care, and keep it out of reach of children, pets, and anyone you like.
    $19.00/strand

#22-523    African Clay Beads
36" strands of 2-5mm small unglazed earth tone clay beads - like clay seed beads. These are said to be ancient beads collected by sifting sand.
    $3/strand

#22-525    Myrrh beads
36" strands of irregular berry-shaped resin beads from Mali. Myrrh has been treasured for centuries for it's smell. It is worn against the skin, and on hot days the scent is released. Myrrh, along with frankincense and gold, was given to the Christ child by the wise men.
    $2/strand     $10/10 strands

    $10/strand
